So, you’re looking for a photographer?

My name is Laurence Binot and I am a trained photographer, specialized in portraits!

​

I grew up in the South of Belgium and from as far as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with images and especially those of people’s faces. I used to spend hours on my aunt’s table drawing the people from her magazines, trying to get the expression right, to absorb the personality through the face and posture.

​

It is thus very naturally that, as soon as I got a camera, I started to take pictures of my sisters and my friends with the means that I had, using a desk lamp in lieu of professional lighting. Later I started, with my twin sister Ariane, to take pictures of musicians at concerts and that developed into a cohesive series and several exhibitions.

​

What drives my portrait work is this : I am very interested by people in general. I see beauty in everyone and want them to see it too. I want you to get the best pictures of yourself you ever had, because let’s face it, we can always use a little confidence boost. I also like to capture that thing that makes you unique so you have a portrait that really looks like you.

​

Before the photoshoot I like to exchange a lot with the clients in order to know what style they are looking for. I also do make up and styling if requested.

​

In addition to portraits, I do also events, weddings, pets, landscape and packshot photography.
